The 1st and 2nd social trips in Korea were held in Yeong Deok, and the 3rd through 7th social trips in Hamyang were also successfully completed.

to join the 8th and 9th social trip in Hamyang!
Trip 8 and 9 each has different contents and activities that go along with the theme of the trip, choose which theme you are more interested in

Enjoy the best view of Hamyang, from the winding road, one of Hamyang’s most famous attractions, to the observatory where you can enjoy a panoramic view of Jiri Mountain

Experience nature while staying at the luxurious Wellness Hotel Insanga, located at an altitude of 500m in the middle of Sambong Mountain. Away from the pollution and smog, you can enjoy the soothing sound of crickets and let go of the stress of the city.

Hamyang has been a region known for its academic excellence since ancient times. Study the scholarship and tea ceremony methods of the Joseon Dynasty at Seowon, a UNESCO World Heritage site. And receive an unexpected gift at Namgyeseowon

Meet-up with traditional culture, local residents, businesses, and other participants of the festival. Hang out and bond with all sorts of people, and make new friends!

Where will we sleep?
You will be staying in ‘Wellness hotel Insanga’, a platform that experience nature while staying at
It is located at an altitude of 500m in the middle of Sambong Mountain. Each room is suitable for 2 people to stay in.
There’s a convenience store at the accommodation and you can buy coffee, tea, other beverages, and deserts
You will be served Korean cuisine or American breakfast for breakfast, and various Korean food for lunch and dinner
All included trip for just 50,000KRW or USD50$

Experience the unity with nature through Hamyang’s refreshing breeze and beautiful autumn foliage. As the hot summer gives way to the cool autumn, Hamyang’s forests transform into a tapestry of vibrant colors. Feel the beauty of the forest and try plogging, all while embracing the autumn season of harvest by joining the locals in harvesting sweet potatoes. Where will we sleep?
You will be staying in ‘Seohadawoom Youth Residence’, a platform that connects young travelers to the local community
It is a single floor accommodation with 4 rooms. Each room is equipped with a single bed and a bunk bed, suitable for 2 to 3 people to stay in. It also has 2 bathrooms with showers available
Kitchen is available for anyone wishing to cook, and laundry facility can be used free of charge. There’s also a children’s library (closed on Sundays) 2 minutes walk away, and convenient store 5 minutes walk away from the accommodation
There’s a cafe right next to the accommodation and you can buy coffee, tea, other beverages, and deserts
You will be served sandwiches or bread for breakfast, and various Korean food for lunch and dinner

How is the price so cheap?
This trip is sponsored by the Hamyang municiple government to promote Hamyang city
and attract foreign travelers to Hamyang
What happens after I pay?
We will send you an email confirming your reservation.
Also, we will provide detailed instruction on meeting point, what to bring etc.
Can I just attend some part of the program?
You are required to attend the entire program.
However, we may open a regular program soon that is similar to this trip.
Is it possible to just attend a few activities?
Sure, You can decide whether to participate in the entire program or selected activities only.

Where do we need to go to?
The meeting point is Hamyang bus terminal
Please meet us at the meeting point by 12:00 (noon) on June 16th/23th (Friday).
If you are leaving from Seoul, you can take the bus from East-Seoul bus terminal or Southern (Nambu) bus terminal to get there.
Please let us know if you have trouble finding your way to the meeting point or if you are not joining us from the beginning.
How do I make the payment?

Is the reservation confirmed after the payment?
We will contact you within 24 hour of payment completion. Please check your email after making the payment.
Do I have any free time?
Please make sure you attend all the activities we arranged for you, but you will have plenty of free time after that.
Do I need to speak Korean?
No, Planet Zoom-In staff will accompany you throughout the entire program and will translate for you when needed.
We will also teach you a few useful Korean phrases during the orientation, you don’t have to worry about anything.
Do I need to bring any pocket money?
We recommend bringing some spare change to spend on personal things such as souvenirs,
gifts or snacks you may want to buy at the traditional village tour or the Sanglim park.
What kind of food will we be eating? (Do you have any special dietary options?)
Most of the food we’ll be providing is Korean food,
and we can arrange alternatives for people with special dietary requirements such as vegans.
Do we have to sleep in the accommodation you provide us? Can we upgrade it to private rooms?
You will need to use the designated accommodation provided, unfortunately private room upgrades are not available.
Do you know
Hamyang?
Hamyang is surrounded by the famous mountains such as Deokyusan, Jirisan, and Gibaeksan, and also has Chilseon Valley, one of the three most famous valleys in Korea
As the city is famous for its mountains and valleys, there are beautiful trekking courses in various corners of the city
The Seonbi culture trail, is a 10km trail you can walk along the Hwarimdong valley. It is an incredible trekking course full of beautiful mountain, valleys, natural rocks
Also, Hamyang is famous for being a scholars (Seonbi) town. You can see how the Seonbi from old days used to live by visiting some of the traditional villages and houses that are well maintained
Sanglim Park is a natural monument that boasts an enormous forest trail with total surface area amounting to 205,842 m
